Special Focus: Building Peace Through Sustainable Development
The inaugural issue of the International Journal of Peace and Development explores the interconnections between peacebuilding and sustainable development processes. Contributors examine how development initiatives can either exacerbate or mitigate conflict, and the ways in which peace processes can be designed to support sustainability objectives.
This issue features research from scholars and practitioners across five continents, offering diverse perspectives on the peace-development nexus with particular attention to SDGs 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Editor's Note: As we launch the International Journal of Peace and Development, we welcome contributions that bridge theory and practice in addressing complex challenges at the intersection of peace, development, education, and security. We thank our inaugural authors and reviewers for their valuable contributions to this first issue.
